Game 53 - Anaheim Angels vs. Kansas City Royals @ Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City, KS (7/25/2016)I was fortunate enough to be in Kansas City for a project and took some time to visit Kauffman Stadium for a Royals game.
This stadium is decades old, but quickly became one of my favorite. I loved the water-fall wall and water fountains in the outfield. Someone told me before I went to the game that the score board was one of the best features....I completely agree. It is kind of cheesy, but the crown at the top just makes it look that much cooler. The Royals Hall of Fame museum in left field was outstanding. I spent a few innings looking around and taking a bunch of pictures. I even got my picture taken with the 2015 World Series trophy.
I also found that the stadium was one of the cleanest I have been to yet. Parking was also one of the easiest I have experienced. It shares and entrance and parking lot with Arrowhead Stadium (home of the Kansas City Chiefs).
Despite the fact that the Royals are defending World Series champs we were able to walk right up to the ticket window and get great seats in the lower level down the 1st base line.
Of course when you are in Kansas City, you must try the Bar-B-Q. I settled for the Pulled Pork Mac n'Jack Sausage. This was a sausage topped with mac n'cheese, pulled pork and bar-b-q sauce. Unbelievable.
The Royals ended up losing the game 6-2 as old-man Albert Pujols for the Angels drove in 4 runs.
Short write-up. Sorry.
